Larry's training and experience in the pool industry actually began in the summer of 1970 when he worked as a foreman for the largest commercial gunite pool builder in the midwest. The company that would eventually become Anchor Spa and Pool was founded by Larry and 3 other partners in 1977. Over the next three years he immersed himself and his staff in every aspect of pool service and maintenance. Realizing that a pool cannot be enjoyed without clean and clear water, he then focused his attention to learning about and perfecting water analysis and treatment for in-ground pools. This emphasis still exists today at Anchor Spa and Pool. By 1980, Larry had bought out all his partners and decided to use his knowledge of pool construction to facilitate the new construction division within his company. With his experience in the construction of gunite pools and their service, he purposed his staff to engineer and build the most reliable and easy to maintain in-ground pools in the market. With the assistance of his good Al Miller in 1983, Anchor Spa and Pool developed the most efficient circulation system for a residential pool in the market and the company still utilizes this technology today.Seeing themselves as true pool contractors and not just pool builders. Anchor Spa and Pool has purposed itself to become the most knowledgeable as possible in best practices of all other types of construction. Their roots are unite construction but they are also experienced in fiberglass / concrete pools, 4 types of polymer pools, steel / vinyl liner pools and aluminum / vinyl liner pools.
