This June, Connor/Carmen both Hydropool Employees are proud to share that they will be walking the runway in the Diabetes Canada Pump Couture Fashion Show. Pump Couture is an evening dedicated to changing the conversation around the stigma of living with diabetes while staying fiercely fashionable! Through models like Connor/Carmen, and their story, Pump Couture will bring visibility to a usually invisible disease.
In addition to modelling at this event, Connor/Carmen are raising funds for Diabetes Canada’s D-Camps programs. D-Camps are 24/7 medically supervised summer camps for kids living with type 1 diabetes that foster inclusion and create a sense of belonging for campers. Activities include archery, arts, and crafts, canoeing and kayaking, kids not only have fun and make lasting friendships, but campers also gain self-confidence and the skills to effectively manage their diabetes.
